Hartford's Alpine Garden is located on the north side of the Rubicon River. You can view it from a distance as you walk along the Riverwalk that leads you from Main Street towards the Mill Pond and the Jack Russell Memorial Library.
Or, you can visit the garden by "very carefully" descending the hill on the north side
of the river near the foot bridge.
Hartford's Alpine Garden is one of Wisconsin's largest Alpine Gardens and is especially lovely during the spring and early summer months.
Join us any Monday evening starting in May, from 6 - 7pm to weed and care for the Alpine Garden and Riverwalk (weather permitting). Stay and visit with other volunteers and enjoy our work and a sip of wine!
